The Budget

A beautiful wedding can be had in spite of meager funds. Having a strategy is the key that will make or break your wedding budget. Set your top priorities and make a strategy. By working a budget together with your fiancé, you will start out on the right foot.

Avoid wedding mania. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement of your new engagement. It is even easier to start spending your wedding budget on items you will later learn are unnecessary. Do your guests really need silk hankies embroidered with your wedding date? Probably not.

Before you get too far in the planning process, assess who will/can pay for which expenses, how you will pay, and what your budget is. Then, make sure you take care of necessary budget items first so you don’t break the bank.

Setting a budget for your wedding and remaining within its limits will set you and your spouse-to-be on a path of financial peace and prosperity that can only help strengthen your relationship over the years.
